As an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) counsellor, I provided immediate telephone or chat crisis counselling/interventions to employees and family members across the country and the world. Taking care of clients by evaluating needs, assessing risks, crisis containment, and providing necessary resources to resolve challenges. I am honoured to get Clinical Excellence Award Recipient 2022, a special award to Counselors who have fully met, and gone above and beyond.

During my MACP degree, I worked my practicum at a Nonprofit organization Forward Family Services in BC. Here I had the opportunity to conduct intakes, suicide risk assessments, basic self-report assessments for both anxiety and depression, and conducted individual, couple and family counselling sessions. I experienced a wide range of clients including children, youth, and adults, from various socio-economic backgrounds, locations, and cultural diversities. I also worked with clients with diverse needs (grief, depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, and severe psychiatric disorders). The clients I have worked with also ranged in severity, from recently released from in-patient programs to mild depressive episodes.
